Russia and Hungary will discuss economic cooperation in the agro-industrial complex

The Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with the Moscow office of the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA Moscow), is organizing an international online conference on agriculture and cooperation between the two countries in the agro-industrial complex. The conference "Economic Cooperation Russia - Hungary in the Agro-Industrial Sector: Main Issues" will be held on March 23, 2021 at 14:00 Moscow time (12:00 Hungarian time) on the Zoom platform.

The event will reveal the real economic potential for the development of cooperation between Hungarian and Russian entrepreneurs interacting in the agro-industrial complex, and assess the prospects for further work to strengthen Russian-Hungarian economic relations in various sectors of economic activity. At the conference, organized as part of the development of mutually beneficial ties between the business communities of Russia and Hungary, it is planned to discuss the following topics:

  • State support for exporters working in the field of agro-industrial complex;
  • Coverage of trade finance programs, risk insurance issues, as well as opportunities for attracting investments;
  • Consideration of issues from the field of certification, customs and logistics when entering foreign markets;
  • Announcement of programs to support foreign startups;
  • Analysis of current Skolkovo support programs for Russian and Moscow companies;
  • The advantages of localizing production in Russia.

The organizers of the event are the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Commission for Foreign Economic Cooperation with partnership of the Visegrad Group countries. The Commission's activities are aimed at developing and maintaining business ties between Moscow companies and enterprises in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. The co-organizer is the Moscow office of the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA Moscow), whose goal is to comprehensively strengthen Russian-Hungarian relations in the economic sphere. Dmitry Peshkov, Director for External Communications of the Moscow Partner Office of HEPA, is a member of the MCCI Commission on Foreign Economic Cooperation with partners in the Visegrad countries.

Vice-President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vardanyan Suren Oganesovich, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Hungary Pavel Stanislavovich Ilyin, who will talk about cooperation between the countries in the agro-industrial complex, and Dmitry Yuryevich Peshkov, Director for External Communications of HEPA Moscow, with information on HEPA's activities in the agro-industrial complex, will speak at the conference. Also among the speakers are the head of the Moscow branch of the International Investment Bank Grigory Alexandrovich Gruzinov, Daria Shunina, the head of the department for relations with international startups of the Skolkovo Foundation, Deputy Chairman of the MCCI Commission for Visegrad Group Countries Mikhailov Vladimir Dmitrievich and participants who will talk about business cases from Hungary and Russia.

The Moscow office of HEPA regularly organizes important events aimed at strengthening and developing the historical economic relations between Hungary and Russia. An international industry conference dedicated to the food industry and FMCG segment products is already planned for June-July.
