On December 8, 2021, within the framework of the Moscow Healthcare Exhibition, the session "New Perspectives in Hungarian-Russian Healthcare Cooperation after the Pandemic" will be held, during which interested participants from the Russian side will be able to learn about the results of the successful development of cooperation in the field of healthcare between Hungary and Russia. and also to get acquainted with the activities of the Hungarian companies working in the field of medical technology present at the exhibition.
Hungary has an extremely open economy. While the country is ranked 94th in the world in terms of population, it is in 34th place in terms of exports.
The Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Foreign Affairs has announced the NEXT National Export Strategy 2030, which focuses on incremental development and export support. Within the framework of this strategy, the sectors in which Hungarian companies are the most competitive were identified, as well as the government support they need to enter foreign markets. One such industry is the medical technology industry. Hungarian companies have a long history and extensive experience in this field.
The Hungarian medical technology industry is also a major employer, employing approximately 17,000 people directly and indirectly another 30,000. This is the highest in the region. The total turnover of the industry is more than 80 billion rubles, of which 85% is export earnings.
The Hungarian Embassy in Moscow and the Hungarian Export Development Agency HEPA are jointly organizing a forum within the framework of the Healthcare Exhibition.
At the forum, representatives of Russian distributors and medical institutions can get acquainted with Hungarian manufacturers of medical equipment, which, for example, already have their own plant in Russia or a significant volume of Russian exports, as well as those companies that intend to enter the Russian market as a new participant.
