full-firmnews The Moscow partner office of HEPA, the Hungarian Export Development Agency, was a co-organizer of an international online conference organized by the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Moscow Government and the Moscow Department of Economic Policy and Development. HEPA Moscow informed about the main directions of its activities in Russia and the CIS countries, about high quality and competitive advantages of Hungarian medical products, as well as the prospects for Russian-Hungarian relations in various spheres and sectors of economic cooperation, which are constantly being strengthened on the basis of the development of bilateral trade, an increase in trade, the organization of joint ventures and the localization of production.

Moscow, October 22, 2020. - The organizers of the conference noted the important role played by the Moscow partner office of the HEPA Moscow and the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the development of long-term and friendly relations between the Russian and Hungarian people, strengthening trade cooperation, increasing trade, creating new jobs and the creation of medical technologies, especially important during the global COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are receiving more and more requests from Russian companies to establish contacts with Hungarian partners. This year, we received twelve applications for supply of medical goods and equipment, six of them from Moscow and it`s region”, said Pavel Ilyin, trade representative of the Russian Federation in Hungary, about joint Russian-Hungarian healthcare projects.

In turn, Dmitry Peshkov, Director for External Communications of the Moscow Office of the Hungarian Export Development Agency HEPA, spoke about the agency's activities in the field of healthcare, stressing the social significance of such cooperation.

“HEPA Agency actively uses any opportunity to promote Hungarian innovative products for practical medicine to the Russian market, attracts leading manufacturers of medical equipment, medicines, professionals, working in the healthcare system, representatives of government agencies and businesses, the general medical community from all regions of the country”, - he said.

The attaché for foreign economic relations of the Embassy of Hungary in the Russian Federation, Mark Nagy, acquainted the conference participants with the new foreign economic policy of Hungary, focused on two key tasks: supporting Hungarian exports and attracting foreign investment.

“I want to emphasize that there is a very interesting program for the development of foreign markets. Within the framework of this program, Hungarian companies can participate in a tender for non-refundable government subsidies in order to create new investment projects abroad”, said he.

An excellent example of mutually beneficial cooperation between Russian and Hungarian business is the company EMD Ltd, which produces instruments for neurosurgical, endoscopic and laparoscopic operations, exported by Hungary to 24 countries of the world. In Russia, the company's products are

also in great demand, and the importance of such export supplies has increased immeasurably during the global coronavirus pandemic.
